Corkran Energy, LP is an independent crude oil and natural gas company focused on low-risk domestic exploration and production projects.  We are headquartered in Austin, TX.  We acquire and develop onshore oil and gas fields in the lower 48 states with a particular focus on the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico.

 

Our Company

Our Company was formed on January 1, 2001 with producing assets and undeveloped acreage contributed by Dennis Corkran.  Since then we have built a diversified portfolio of operated and non-operated properties from as far north as Wyoming and North Dakota down to Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico.  Our current projects include a large number of low-risk exploitation and development prospects with multiple pay zones as well as a smaller number of higher risk, higher reserve potential exploration prospects.  As of August 1, 2008, we had total proved reserves of 23.3 Bcfe with an average reserve life index in excess of 40 years.
